Em homework

 1) We have to Read  information about uses of water  and make chart sating the uses of water and give examples of each : 

Uses : 
- Domestic 
- Industrial
- Agricultural 

Example : 
- Domestic : In the home and for waste disposal 
- Industrial : In factory and for power 
- Agricultural : mainly for irrigation 

2)  In this task we have to Watch a video and write ours conclusions about the situation described in it.

This video is about 2 diferents type of living conditions . In one hand a man that lived in a comfortable house , with all his needs , He pick a bottle of fresh and clean water and went to the airport . In the other hand we can see a little girl that live in horrible conditions , that has to walk to get some water , and besides that this water is dirty and not fresh . This man travel to were the child was and give her a bottle of clean water . 

To conclude we get to know that any people that can help , that can give a hand to other persons , to do it , just with a simple effort they could help people that needs it

Dispositivo de Funke

En la clase de biología, realizamos un dispositivo de Funke en grupo , este dispositivo de Funke se basaba en el sistem
a respiratorio , pero creado con materiales que nostros trajimos :
- Globo:  representaba los pulmones

- Botella : representaba el torax

-Guante de Látex : representaba el Diafragma

-Cinta : sosteníamos los guantes de látex

-Sorbete : representaba las vías respiratorias ( fosas nasales , la faringe ... )

In the class of em , I made a summary about Tropical Cyclones






Tropical Cyclones


Are tropical storms that bring very strongs winds and heavy rains .Cyclones tend to happen in areas that are within the tropics with low pressure . They mostly appear between the end of summer and the beginning of autumn . Cyclones are formed when water of the sea is very hot , temperature can reach at least 27°C


Name



Tropicals Cyclones receive different names around the world :


- When they formed in the Atlantic or Eastern pacific the storms are called HURRICANES . The atlantic hurricanes season is from june to November and the Eastern from May to November .

- In the Western North Pacific , they are called TYPHOONS . TYPHOONS occur all over the year

- In the South Pacific they are called Cyclones and season begins in October and ends in May




Impact



Tropical Cyclones are very powerful , Wind speed can reach 120 km . They produce a lot of damage on differents ways
Economic impacts :

- Farming economy may be in ruins , Crops are lost

- Buildings , Cars and people possesion may be lost


Social impacts :

- Lots of people died

- Many people can be affected psychologically by the loss of family or friends


Environmental Impact :

- Trees fall down can affect animals habitats

- Many transports can became unusual cause of flooding



Strategies



In areas where you have to be alert of tropical cyclones , you can reduce damage by :

- Creating a map of evacuation , so you will know were you have to go if a tropical cyclone is reaching

- Prepare your garden : Cut down most of the trees you have in your garden so as to not destroy your house

- Prepare supplies : Save in a box lot of water and food , keep it in a fresh and dark place . Also save a first aid kit , in case someone gets hurt
